Shift to Nature brings Autumn Scarves from luxury and ethical NYC based designer A Peace Treaty.
Drapes beautifully, soft and luxurious with a story from the designers reflection and inspiration for the Summer from the design, architecture, art and culture of 1960s Libya, with its Italian influence, Jewish and Muslim heritage. Lush and fluttering silks and cottons are decorated with designs imaging mosaics in 1960s sherbet tones.
This range called Villa Bambola was created in artisan workshops in India where the silk screening designs are stencil cut, and then resist-dye indigo and mud wood block printed. A Peace Treaty designers also worked with artisans across the US in reviving traditional methods of the Rocky Mountain art of hand painting silk scarves. A Peace Treaty pay higher than fair-trade ranges in all projects of creating these exquisite items.
